William W. Brown graduated from the Citadel after completing four years of military service. In 1977, he started a CPA firm in Greenville. He started an Investment Advisory Firm, now known as Family Legacy, Inc., in 1995. Currently, he serves as their Chief Executive Officer. William was among the first CPAs in the country to earn the Board Specialization, PFS (Personal Financial Specialist) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is married to Karen and they have four children and four grandchildren. He serves on the boards of The Peace Center, The Greenville Symphony Orchestra and the Greenville Tech Foundation. Reading and basketball are some of William's favorite pastimes.
William is an advocate of education and a long time supporter of creating advantages for children's learning. He has a passion for putting children in a position where they can "be all they can be."

Patrick L. Frazier, Jr. was born in St. George, SC the second of nine children. He graduated from Williams Memorial School in 1967 and from South Carolina State University with a degree in English and a SC Teacher's Certificate. He received the Master of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, GA. He did further studies at USC Upstate. Also, he became a bishop in the Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God of the Americas.
Bishop Frazier taught at the Fuller Normal Industrial Institute for eight years. He has been the pastor of many churches in SC and NC. He served on the Planning Board of the Fuller Normal Advanced Technology Charter School and has served on the board of FNATCS since that time. He would like to see FNATCS become one of the most productive schools in the United States. He believes that this is possible. He also believes that parent involvement is essential to the development of the whole child. Parents are a child's first teachers. He is married to Sharon Douglas. He has four daughters and seven grandchildren.

Cary H. Hall, Jr. as the son of a career naval officer, moved frequently while growing up. He now views Greenville as his hometown, even though he first lived here as an adult. After graduating from Princeton University in 1969 he spent three years in the Army. He was awarded the Bronze Star while serving as an infantry platoon leader in Vietnam in 1971. He attended and graduated from Harvard Law School in 1975. He has practiced law with the Wyche Law Firm in Greenville since 1975 as a corporate and tax lawyer. He has been active in community organizations, having served as a Commissioner of the SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, a director of the Greenville County Disabilities and Special Needs Board and a director of the Palmetto Conservation Foundation.

Steve Lanzl has been very active on community Boards for many years including: six years at Greenville Technical Charter High School (GTCHS), two years as Board Chair and four years as Greenville Children's Theater, and three years Fuller Normal Advanced Technology Charter School.
For the past three years he has served as Senior Director of Information Systems for Bi-Lo. Prior to Bi-Lo, he was VP of Information Systems at Bowater, Inc., a paper manufacturing company, for ten years. Others experiences included, living in Japan for five years on assignment with the DuPont chemical company and spending six years in the 198th Aviation Company, Delaware National Guard. Steve is a graduate from Dickinson College where he earned a BS in Physics and from Lehigh University where he earned a MBA.

Scott Powell is an architect with Craig, Gaulden & Davis. He and his wife have two middle school-aged boys, so Scott is in tune with schools, school boards, and school design. His past community involvement reflects his focus on the importance of education and a only few positions follow: PTA President and School Improvement Council for Sara Collins Elementary, Volunteer of the Year for 2004-2005 at Sara Collins Elementary, Urban League of the Upstate, Sunday School teacher, and Youth Basketball Coach. He served on the SC Public School Facilities Committee in 2008, and The City of Greenville Board of Zoning Appeals. Scott is a member of the SC School Board Association, Council of Educational Facility Planners International and the American Institute of Architects.
Scott has designed public and private schools across the state and is aware of the issues affecting children and educators. Creating buildings and programs to inspire children to learn is a passion for Scott.

Charles Brewer was born in Easley, SC and raised on a farm in Powdersville, SC. He went to Alexandra Elementary, Hollis Middle, Greenville High, and last Greenville Technical College. His first and only job is at the Poinsett Club in Greenville, SC where he began working at the age 16 as the pot washer after school. Over the next 19 years, he was promoted from the pot washer to the pantry guide to the cold-line cook to a hot-line cook. Next he became the su-chef where he won two medals in hot food competitions. Later he was asked to become a front of the house Dining Room Manager and he held that position for five years. For the last four years and presently he is the Operations Manger of the entire club. He is currently enjoying his 28th year of service at the Poinsett Club.
Charles has many different interests. He enjoys all sports and even plays a little golf himself. He is in the process of becoming a certified wine expert. He loves to travel. He spent sixteen days on an educational trip in Europe in 2008. He loves people and is very active in peer groups that help each other grow to their potential. Charles is married and has four children.

Tom Moran is a 1975 graduate of Salem State University in Salem Massachusetts. He completed graduate school at the University of Louisville in 1982 and joined the staff at the Greenville Unit of Shriner’s Hospital for Children. Tom later accepted a position with the Greenville Hospital System (GHS) Children’s Hospital in 1989 and has held a variety of administrative positions at GHS over the past 21 years. He is currently the Director of the GHS University Medical Center Clinics and an Adjunct Professor at the University of South Carolina; Graduate School of Social Work. He also serves on the state and local board of directors of Family Connection of South Carolina, the board of the Center for Developmental Services, the Greenville County Medical Examiners Commission, and the advisory boards of the Greenville County Health Network and the Greenville County Nurse Family Partnership. Since his first position out of college, working with street gangs in Boston, he has been an advocate for children’s issues. Tom has four children and enjoys woodworking and photography.

Joseph F. Sullivan is originally from Gaffney, SC. He graduated The Citadel in 1967 with a BS in Business Administration. He was a member of the US Army from 1967-69. He entered the insurance industry in 1969 in Columbia, SC then moved to Greenville, SC in 1972. He formed Sullivan Company, Inc. in 1974. Currently, he is President/CEO of Sullivan Company, LLC located in downtown Greenville. He is married to Donna (42 years). They have two children and four grandchildren. Community involvement includes United Way volunteer (various positions), United Way, Palmetto Society Member, Leadership Greenville Class 9, Chairman March of Dimes Walk 1991-92, St. Francis Hospital Foundation Board Member and Chairman 9 years, Greenville County School Board member, Chair/Vice-Chair 1986-1990, Chairman of the Governor's Committee on Highway Safety under Governor Riley.
Sullivan Company is involved in various volunteer/fundraising activities including Hands on Greenville, Relay for Life for American Cancer Society, the Palmetto Peloton Project Ride for Cancer from Greenville, to Austin, TX, and sponsored the Jefferson Awards (WYFF) from 1981-present. His hobbies include bicycling, kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, traveling and racing sports cars.

Desiree F. Dumas is originally from Sumter, SC but has lived in many other states and also Germany. Her love for learning comes from her family and especially her mother who made spending time in the local library fun. As college approached, she received numerous scholarships in academics and sports. She earned her BS in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University and her Masters from University of Phoenix. she has her EIT license and worked as an electrical engineer designing motor control centers before devoting much of her time to her children in their early years. Currently, Desiree teaches math and reading at Greenville Technical College. Additionally, she tutors students in various subjects including SAT and ACT. Desiree and her husband, who is also an engineer, have four beautiful children, three of which attend Legacy Charter School.

Helen V. Irby is the eldest of six children. Over her teaching career, she taught math, science, social studies and self-contained classes. She retired from Greenville County Schools as a Music Specialist in 2001. She earned her BS in Music Education from South Carolina State University and her Master's degree in Personnel Services from Clemson in 1980. Mrs. Irby is presently a member of the Greenville County Legislative Transportation Committee. Additionally, she serves as president of her Homeowners Association. She is a former member of The National Teachers Association and the National Music Teachers Conference. Her hobbies include singing, traveling, gardening and listening to great music. Her favorite Composer is Ludwig van Beethoven. She is married and has one son.

David Mitchell has an Associate's Degree in Business from Spartanburg Methodist College and a Bachelors Degree in Business from Limestone College. He continued his education at Clemson University earning his Masters in Human Resources. David became an educator with the Greenville County School District. Finding his passion in human resources with RR Donnelley & Sons Company and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, David founded Talent Management Solutions in 2000. He is chairman of the Greenville Transit Authority Board and former chairman of the Greenville Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. He is active an on numerous committees at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce. He is single and has two wonderful daughters. David enjoys playing basketball, golf and deep sea fishing when time permits.
